When the team comes to help in a crisis, we make sure we don’t make things worse. Our goal is not to arrest anyone. We only take people to get help. In the four years of our program, nobody has been hurt. The person who called for help will be guided outside to talk to a

mental health expert who works with us. The expert will listen and gather information to understand the situation better. We want to calm things down, so we stay calm ourselves, speak softly and slowly, and respect personal space. We give the person in crisis a chance to calm down too.
